This 11-page NMLS Handbook Downloadable PDF File will provide you with step by step instructions to Renew Your MLO License
Next, you’ll need to pay the required renewal fees, which vary by state, and update any personal or employment information that may have changed during the license period. Most states require renewal by December 31st, though deadlines can vary, so it’s essential to check your specific state requirements and complete the process before your license expires. The NMLS system will guide you through each step, and once approved, your renewed license status will be updated in the database, allowing you to continue originating mortgage loans without interruption.
